Whether
it’s for a night, a week, a month or more, your dog
will enjoy the amenities and benefits of Rover’s Playhouse.
Most boarding guests spend the day playing and interacting
with other dogs of similar size and temperament in one of
our four spacious indoor play areas. All dogs enjoy the human
touch of our caring Pack Leaders. Each dog sleeps and eats
in a private crate. All boarders have access to the daycare
area where they can play. Elderly pet guests are often allowed
to visit our front desk area where they receive special treatment
and a calmer environment. |
Since
each pet is unique, we ask that you fill out our registration
form and let us know any of your pet’s special needs
such as required medications, special diets, health and temperament
concerns etc. Once we have received your registration, we
verify vaccination records with your veterinarian. We require
written proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella (kennel
cough) vaccines. Please note that many veterinarians administer
the Bordatella vaccination only by request. Vaccinations must
be by a licensed veterinarian and must be current 24 hours
before the pet arrives. Once your pet is registered, it takes
just minutes to make a reservation. |
We
recommend that you bring the food that your dog is used to
eating so that your dog's diet is not upset while staying
with us; however, if you choose not to bring your dog’s
food or forget, we will serve your dog our house food for
a nominal charge or send our staff to purchase the brand your
dog is used to eating. Additionally, you may bring toys, beds
or blankets, but please do not bring anything uniquely valuable
(things sometimes get chewed!)
All dogs must have an "ID" tag on their collar or fees apply.

Dogs
just love daycare at Rover’s Playhouse. With ample room
to play, lots of human attention and plenty of canine companionship,
it’s just the thing for the bored, stressed or lonely
pet. If you work long hours, daycare will benefit both you and
your pet.
|
A
typical day at Rover’s Playhouse starts at 7am when
the dogs first arrive. They are grouped into individual playgroups
according to their size and temperament and assigned to one
of our four spacious indoor play areas. There are typically
1-2 Pack Leaders on the floor supervising the activity. A
mural on the daycare walls creates an outdoor feeling for
the dogs. Rover's even had Tuflex flooring
installed which is especially gentle for dog's paws. |
All
dogs play until mid-morning at which time they are led by
groups to our 20X50 ft outdoor area for their potty break
and returned to the playroom until about noon. However, puppies
and especially active dogs go down for a 30 minute naptime
around 9am and 3pm daily. At noon, all playgroups go down
for a nap and awake energized to play some more. During
mid afternoon all dogs gather together for Treat Time. Afterwards,
dogs remain running in the play area, with the exception of
potty breaks, until you pick them up.
